Here's What We Were Working on in March 2021
Rotating Flexi Cards in Hero Area
Enhance the site above the fold! This new feature allows us to keep a fantastic image with proper headlines and buttons, but now we can add a rotation of flexi cards to highlight your best tours & experiences in the hero area itself. Think of the offering sections on the home pages, but in the top of the page. When users load the site they now get to see your best without having to scroll at all. If you want to put this on your site, let us know!
External Link Icons
With a focus on accessibility, we’ve added this new feature that can show an icon to let people know that they are about to open a link in a new tab. It also explains to screen reading software so that vision-impaired users understand as well. Note the Gift Cards button in the image. As this is related with accessibility, we are going to be progressively adding it to all sites, so if you do not want this, please let us know.
Mobile Call Icon
We already have the option to create a banner button on mobile at the bottom of the screen and link for people to call, but now we have a more space efficient option! This icon links to a phone number so when people click they can call right from there. Please note that the icon can be different. Expecting a lot of calls? Let us know, and we’ll put this on your site.
Block Links in Form Entries
We now have the simple ability to block any forms from having links. This means no more spam entries! It’s done on a form by form basis, so if you do have a need for your forms to contain links, that’s possible still. We are progressively going to updating this automatically, so please let us know if you have any forms that should still allow links.
Mobile/Desktop/Tablet Only Hero Areas
Earlier in the year we added the ability to have a section on a page show up on mobile or desktop only, allowing more flexibility in what to show on your site depending how people are accessing it. Now, we can do the same with hero areas! For example, if you wanted to have different headlines on mobile and desktop or if you wanted to show different videos in the hero depending on device, it’s now possible. If you want us to adjust your desktop or mobile hero areas to be different, let us know.
