APRIL 2022 MONTHLY UPDATES

The tag option on flexi cards is commonly used to place prices or quick taglines about tours where they may be first viewed. Before, those tags were only able to be placed at the top right. With this update, we can now move the tags into the center of the card, as sort of a divider between the image and content below the card. If you were to have the content over the image on the flexi, then then tag would be at the bottom. In it’s new vertically aligned placement, we can place the tag in the left, middle, or right alignment horizontally. This feature allows us to add the ability to expand message boxes on forms. Especially helpful on mobile, this allows the initially shown box to take up only the necessary space so that it’s seen – and clients can adjust it based on how much they put in there. Should they type a message longer than what the field is currently showing, a scroll option will appear and shift depending on how they expand the box. This feature adds the possibility to get an image into Search Engine Results Pages (SERP). By adding an image URL into the schema metadata of a page, it increases the chances that Google will decide to show that image in the page’s organic results when it shows up. Now, it’s important to note that this update will not guarantee that an image shows up in SERP. In the end, that call is ultimately up to the search engine itself, but this update makes it much easier for the search engine to decide which image to place in SERP should it decide to do so. This update is automatically done via the featured images on the pages, but feel free to contact TigerCare with any questions!

This update is about adding some flashy UX to help people realize where they are on the site. Now, in the menu, a small bar will appear underneath the section of the site that they are in. For example, if I were to look at any of the tours in this site, the bar would remain underneath the ‘Tours’ menu item. The placeholder is also real-time reactive, so as a visitor moves their mouse between menu options the placeholder will follow to make it clear which option their mouse is on. Please note that the placeholder is only functional on main menu items, and will not apply to sub-items should you decide to apply it to your site.
