Here's What We Were Working on in January 2020
Social Icons in Mobile Header
For those with strong social media or target markets that are heavy social media users, this update can help you bring users from your site to your social media much easier! We can now add social media icons to the mobile header on sites. Please note that if your logo spans the entire mobile header, we won’t able to fit the icons in as the logo and hamburger menu take precedence over the icons. If you have a smaller logo to use, we could use that and then put the icons in. If you want us to put social media icons in your mobile header, please let us know.
Analytics Add On
We started working on this a few months ago when we were seeing page speed issues being caused by external code coming from Google and Facebook. We found out that the tracking coming from Google Analytics and Facebook Pixels was slowing down the site as it tracked traffic, so we made it internal code. Now, the tracking is integrated into our theme so they won’t slow down pages. When developing this, we also added more tracking capabilities specific to our theme. Now, if someone lands on the site from a referral style link (ex: tourismtiger.com/?ref=123) we can track as they move through the site and even when they click on certain buttons. This type of tracking is not automatically set up as it depends on what you want to track to set it up, but the possibility is there! If you would like us to set up specific traffic on an event or path on your site, please let us know.
